Australian offshore wind (OSW) is entering a new phase with the first round of 6 offshore feasibility licences granted off the coast of Gippsland, Victoria and another 6 licences progressed to First Nations consultation. Boasting a combination of 25 GW of electricity, these 12 OSW projects make Australia a step closer towards a global superpower of renewable energy.

 

Compared to the matured onshore wind energy, OSW is still at a more nascent phase in Australia. It has steeper technology cure, bigger LCOE and longer development timeframes. Besides, developers also need to prepare ahead transmission grid infrastructures for the planned OSW projects and possible expansion.

 

Building on the success of nearly 10 years’ experience in the OOSW events, we are pleased to organize the Australia Onshore Offshore Wind  Summit 2025 on 14-15 May 2025 in Perth, Australia. This event is going to bring together more than 300 senior representatives across the value chain to discuss the most concerned topics, share experience, and present practical solutions for efficient and cost-effective OOSW project development. It provides an ideal platform for industry communication and develop business partnerships for the success of Australia OOSW industry.
